this one is hand drawn with a fineliner on paper, vectorized with illustrator and enhanced in photoshop.

its up to you, you can just like it, but when i started to draw it i suddenly figured out that the tree features significant parts of my life. isnt that strange? i mean i didnt draw it with the intention to express anything at all. but this tree shows so many incisive moments, even almost in the right order, when you follow it from bottom to top, from 0 to 25 years...

try that and show me your results, apparently this can be pretty interesting.

i like the colors, but they almost look to shiny...

disagree. this one has been produced on a colorfast eizo L778 (macbook pro display to compare it while producing) and the colors look exactly the way they are meant to look. its supposed to simulate a blooming effect, which it does somehow, to my eyes. but thanks anyway for your comment, i will think about it!

consider calibrating your monitor, you might be right regarding the colors if your monitor is adjusted to brightly!

no, i get what you are saying and what u were trying to do, and i think its cool and really well done in a way, but for me, i would never get this work as a poster, cause the colors look to "computerish" for my taste... i cant really explain what i mean and its just my personal, unprofessional oppinion... i'm sure most people will love those colors just like that...

Ich weiß nicht recht,
also erstens gefällt mir die Farbwahl nicht so wirklich (gut das ist geschmackssache)
und zweitens nehmen die verschiedenen Symbole zu wenig bezug aufeinander, es sieht so zusammengewürfelt aus

is halt so ein bißchen neon 80s look, die farben jetz. im bezug auf die symbole muss ich auf meinen artists comment verweisen. ich habe nicht nachgedacht, als ich das ganze gemalt hab. umso spannender find ich es. aber ich versteh was du meinst. es geht auch weniger darum, dass etwas dargestellt wird, als dass etwas empfunden wird. vielleicht ist das daher eher eine egoistische arbeit.

Ich bin nen ziemlicher fan von eindeutigen Konzepten - nenn mich bequem :lol:

egoistisch zu arbeiten ist aber sicher kein falscher Ansatz. Es geht schließlich darum was du für interessant hältst, nicht darum was vielleicht deine Betrachter für interessant halten können :)
